We Turn CO₂ Into Concrete

Ureaka transforms CO into bio-concrete using a closed loop carbon capture and storage process.
precast bioconcrete

OUR MISSION

To transform captured CO₂ into durable, high-strength bio-concrete.

We need new, cost effective methods of carbon storage to prevent the worst effects of climate change. Cement and concrete are responsible for 8% of global CO₂ emissions — nearly twice that of aviation.

Ureaka integrates biocementation with proven carbon capture methods, transforming concrete from an environmental challenge into a valuable asset.

Performance Metrics

1. High Strength at a Competitive Price

Tested to withstand over 3,500 psi (~24 N/mm²) of compressive force which meets numerous ASTM standards for both structural and non-structural applications. Higher strengths will be achieved through continued development.

2. Active Carbon Sequestration

Each ton of bioconcrete stores up to ~117 kg of CO₂, confirmed by rigorous laboratory testing including acid dissolution and X-ray computed tomography.

3. Lightweight

Up to 30% lighter than conventional concrete for easier handling and transportation.

4. Affordable Sustainability:

Each facing brick costs just £0.25 – £0.40 to produce, making Ureaka bioconcrete cost-competitive with conventional options.

revolutionary technology

Our Innovation combines proven ammonia based carbon capture with bio-inspired CO mineralization.
